NOTES; For Gross Domestic Expenditure:
- In the original series (non-seasonally adjusted series), those before Oct.-Dec. of 1999 are the annual estimation released on 26 Dec., 2002, which were estimated in the conventional way. As for final consumption expenditure of households excluding imputed rent from 1990, the annual estimates at constant prices and its deflators were additionally released on 21 Jan., 2003.The figures from Jan.-Mar. to Oct.-Dec. of 2000 are the new method annual estimates, released on 3 Dec., 2002; those from Jan.-Mar. of 2001 to Oct.-Dec. of 2001 were revised on 14 Feb., 2003 and those of Jan.-Mar. of 2002 were revised on 11 Jun., 2003.Those after Apr.-Jun. of 2002 are the new method preliminary estimates. All these estimates are employed as official series. As for the referential series, please refer to the note on that subject.
- Before Oct.-Dec., 1999, seasonally adjusted series are calculated from the original series from Jan.-Mar. 1980, which were estimated in the conventional way. After Apr.-Jun. of 2000, the seasonally adjusted series is calculated from the combined original series of the reference series (from Jan.-Mar., 1994 to Oct.-Dec., 1999) and the official series by the new method (from Jan.-Mar. of 2000 to the latest quarter).
- The latest preliminary series are recommended for use, since some past figures have been revised due to the incorporation of newly available and revised source data and since the seasonally adjusted series are retroactively revised to Jan.-Mar. 2000 in every release. Note: the seasonally adjusted series of the reference series have been retroactively revised to Jan.-Mar., 1994.
- The changes from the previous quarter in Jan.-Mar. 2000, the changes from the same quarter of the previous year from Jan.-Mar. 2000 to Oct.-Dec. 2000, the changes from the previous year of the calendar year 2000,and those of the fiscal year 2000 are calculated from both the official series and the reference series estimated in the new method.
