Research on the effects of ICT use in schools on students' cognitive and non-cognitive skills
We will examine how the use of ICT in schools (including Japan's GIGA School Program) affects the acquisition and improvement of students' cognitive skills (academic skills) and non-cognitive skills (for instance, self-efficacy and grit). We will also examine the effects of ICT use on academic achievement are correlated with in-school training programs for teachers, lesson design and instructional methods, school culture, and the educational environment.
