Research on Household Disparities and Aging
This study uses individual-level household data to estimate recent changes in household structure and the distribution of household assets, and to evaluate household responses to policy changes such as consumption, savings, and labor supply. This provides an evaluation framework for assessing policy changes like tax and social security systems, as well as the so-called inequality problem. To this end, we organically combine multiple data sources, including government statistics, and rigorously control for various household attributes to clarify the impact of policies such as tax increases or decreases on households.
